Scoot-a-Long
The purpose of Scoot-A-Long is to try and raise money to purchase special all terrain scooters/wheelchairs and a caravan equipped to take disabled children and adults in the Southwest on trips they might not ordinarily be able to make, like Dartmoor, Exmoor or Bodmin Moor. Go to www.scoot-a-long.org.uk for more information.
Rotary Africa Mobility Project - RAMP
The Roborough Rotary club is committed to raising £10,000 for the Rotary Africa Motivation Project (RAMP), which is an approved Rotary charity by organising a Wheelchair Rally on the 4th June 2011 on the Hoe in Plymouth. This is an opportunity for wheelchair/mobility users to take part in a sponsored rally to raise funds for those who do not have wheelchairs in Sierra Leone. Go to www.wcr10.co.uk for more information including a report on the 2009 Rally at Marjon which raised £2750.
